Our aim is to create products that are environmentally friendly and showcase cultural practices. These organic baskets promote national development highlighting our sustainable approach to manufacturing.

Our team is proud to partner with Roma communities to promote the traditional weaving of baskets. By engaging with these communities, we are able to preserve cultural traditions while also promoting national development.

In February 2023, the Human Ark team conducted a participant assessment in collaboration to UNHCR, the Center for Gender Rights and Equality and civil society organizations active in the refugee and migrant reception centers, on Lesvos Island. 20 women expressed interest following community outreach for the development of  workshops for workforce integration.

Through community dialogues, the Human Ark team ensured that the women’s voices were heard and designed a workshop that would allow them to acquire skills while at the same time create a sense of community and support. The team connected and coordinated the refugee group with local vendors for sewing supplies and other materials to deliver a sewing workshop.

We promote traditional craftsmanship by engaging with local practitioners who know the art of designing and crafting wooden objects.

This symbolic wooden furniture is unique to their design, environmentally friendly and organic. Made up of hand-picker wicker and bamboo, the wooden chairs are a perfect example of localizing tradition in the workforce. We empower craftsmen to cultivate their culture and share traditional products internationally.

We use teaching materials developed with international partners, using an interactive methodology to conduct language courses for different levels. Through a playful and active teaching approach we ensure our community’s accelerated learning. We have a unique teaching method to also teach languages to illiterate people, assuring inclusivity.
